Women Empowerment
Women in Kenya face extraordinary challenges to their livelihoods, and their identities. Our aim at Guteall is to empower these Women by strengthening their livelihoods base. Women are at the core of our operations.
Guteall increases economic opportunities for women through development of knowledge and skills as well as linking them to business development support services.
Guteall has supported women groups to initiate cottage industries such as jewelry making and weaving to provide them with a source of income.
Our mission is to help women create beautiful jewelry and woven products while helping them create beautiful lives for themselves. We work with the poor women and those who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, by teaching them jewelry making and weaving. Guteall helps them sell their products. The main goal of The Jewelry and Weaving Project is to provide these women with full-time employment so that they are able to support themselves and their families and lead positive, confident lives.
